Guest scores and detailed hotel feedback
I was really disappointed with the rooms at this Ibis property. I expected better, especially since I chose a chain hotel to avoid poorly constructed rooms typical in HK. Unfortunately, the room was tiny and even connected to another room through a door, making it hard to move around.
The hotel boasts great views of Kowloon and the harbor, offering a mixed experience. The rooms could use an update but provide nice vistas, yet there was a strange smell upon entering. The service was excellent with immediate assistance but lacked friendliness at times. The location is a standout, being near transport options, yet the dining experience had limited vegetarian options at higher prices.
The hotel provided large rooms perfect for a solo traveler, but the connecting door to the next room affected noise isolation. The staff were helpful and efficient, but not very friendly. The location was convenient, close to transport options, but hard to find from the airport. The dining offered a large choice but was oriented more towards Asian travelers. Overall, a comfortable stay with some minor drawbacks.
The hotel is in a very convenient location with excellent access to transportation. The rooms are kept tidy and clean, though a bit small with limited space to move around. The service is friendly with an array of amenities, including housekeeping and shuttle services. The dining options are reasonable, although some may find it pricey. Overall, the value for money is good considering the prime location.
The hotel is conveniently located in the eastern district of Hong Kong Island, close to the North Point MTR station with plenty of nearby dining options. The rooms, although compact, are well-equipped and clean. The breakfast offers a limited variety but caters to both European and Asian tastes.
The hotel's rooms were small but clean as expected, with strong but loud air conditioning on arrival. The service offered a mix of efficiency and friendliness. The location was excellent, conveniently located near the MTR station. The dining options were varied, though some dishes were only lukewarm. The facilities were well-equipped but lacked some amenities.
The hotel is suitable only for young and flexible, well-balanced people. The rooms were a bit small and not ideal for travelers with large luggage. It felt very humid and cold. The switches were quite confusing, to be honest. The service was very average. The location is convenient for taking bus number 11a from the airport to the end station, though there was a note about a rude receptionist. The dining experience was okay but could have had more variety. Overall, the facilities were satisfactory.
The hotel rooms were small but fine for one person. However, it would be claustrophobic for two. The air conditioner was too loud, making it impossible to sleep. The once awesome view of Victoria Harbour is now blocked by new apartments being built in front of the hotel.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, though small, were well-designed and very clean, offering all the necessary facilities. However, I was somewhat disappointed with the room size compared to other Ibis properties I've stayed in. The service was friendly and helpful, particularly with its convenient location near the MTR and bus terminal. The hotel's prime location near public transportation and local shops was a major highlight, making it easy to navigate the city. The dining experience had a good variety of options but was a bit overpriced for the quality of the food. Overall, the hotel provided a comfortable stay with a few drawbacks to consider.
